Admission
Admission is free. We greatly appreciate donations for those who are willing and able to support us. The museum is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, supported by membership dues and donations. If you would like to learn more about how to support the museum through annual membership, click here.

Families
The museum welcomes individuals and families of all ages. Our kids' discovery area is located in a replica of a round barn where young visitors can play with vintage toys, instruments, and excavate artifacts in the sand table. Storytime with Miss Taylor, a monthly collaboration with the Putnam County Public Library, takes place in the Round Barn at 11 AM on the second Saturday of each month.
Groups
The museum welcomes groups, including school field trips, with special programs and activities. Please call ahead to make arrangements to meet the needs and interests of your group.
Gift Shop
The museum gift shop features works of talented local artists working in ceramics, textiles, jewelry, photography, paints, and more. ​​

Parking
There is ample parking available for museum patrons.

Putnam County Museum is committed to ensuring that our exhibitions, programming, events, and other offerings are compliant the with Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Our entire facility is step-free. The curb is ramped to allow access between the museum's doors and the parking lot. The lot has four reserved spots in the area closest to this ramp.
