Voices and Votes
Youth Art Exhibition
Call for Art

Overview
This autumn, Greencastle’s Prindle Institute for Ethics will be hosting a travelling Smithsonian exhibition
entitled Voices and Votes: Democracy in America. This will be an exciting way for our community to
celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great nation. As a part of this exhibition, the advisory committee has
been working hard developing a calendar of programs and other initiatives to bring the national themes of
this exhibition into local scope.
The advisory committee is seeking visual artists to participate in our local companion exhibit. Artists are
invited to submit work that addresses one of the following prompts which have been developed in parallel
with the themes of the exhibit, which are discussed below.
Works submitted should be complete, ready for hanging, and should directly engage with the prompts
outlined below.
The exhibition will be hosted by the Prindle Institute for Ethics and is supported through a generous grant
from Indiana Humanities.

When: The exhibition will be installed on October 8-9, 2026 and will remain on display through
November 22, 2026.
Where: Artwork will be on display at the Prindle Institute for Ethics.
