The Putnam County Museum is a great local history resource for both educators and parents. We welcome children of all ages and grades for field trips. Third and fourth grade classes are receiving special invitations, because a trip to the Museum compliments the Indiana and Putnam County history curriculum.
For Educators
Our Education Committee, composed of active and retired teachers, has worked to create varied engaging programs for your students. We also have linked the information to Indiana Standards for your teaching convenience.
Please, plan to book classroom field trips four weeks in advance, giving more than one possible date for a visit. We recommend spending minimum of 60-90 minutes at the Museum. Call us at 765.653.8419 for further information.
Resource packets on the themed exhibit are available.
For Parents
Parents are welcome to use our educational resources and programs. Our
interactive features are a fun way for children to learn about their local
history and culture. If you wish to schedule a private tour of the Museum for
the whole family, please contact us in advance at 765.653.8419 to make the most
of your visit.
