Richard & Marj Peeler: A Retrospective
Many Putnam County residents and visitors remember taking a trip
through winding county roads south of Reelsville to Peeler Pottery.
Beautiful dishes, pots, and hangings grace many homes in Putnam
County and beyond. For the uninitiated to the most ardent
collector, new delights in clay, wood, fabric, paper and more will
appear around every corner.
This exhibit was made possible with the generous support of
DePauw University and the Art Department, as well as individuals
around the United States. As a special treat for the opening
of the exhibit, Chuck Todd Wagoner, former student of the Peelers
and current art teacher and ceramicist will be an
artist-in-residence from 1 to 4 pm. He will demonstrate
ceramic techniques and children can try them out at an art activity
station.
